Undrafted former Ohio State Buckeyes transfer finds immediate success in Los Angeles Rams debut

Want to know how loaded the Ohio State Buckeyes have been at wide receiver over the last half-decade? Look at new Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Sam Wiglusz. Wiglusz, who caught three passes for 36 yards in his NFL preseason debut, could barely make it in Columbus.

Despite catching only three passes for 25 yards over four seasons with the Buckeyes, Wiglusz has the chance to stick in the NFL long-term. He's perfectly equipped to be a slot specialist with his quickness and hands. His time at Ohio University was much more opportune, and Wiglusz should've been drafted.

Wiglusz later suffered an injury and was taken to the locker room, so we'll see whether he can fight for the team's final receiver roster spot. If he's healthy, he'd be an asset. If not, it's possible he will land on a practice squad elsewhere.

Here's what I had to say about Wiglusz before the Myrtle Beach Bowl:

The best overall player in the Myrtle Beach Bowl is Ohio WR Sam Wiglusz. The former Ohio State playmaker has been great at Ohio over the last two seasons. The 5’11”, 190-pounder is a slot specialist with 1,473 yards and 14 touchdowns in his last two seasons.

Wiglusz won’t wow anyone in the gym, but he’s a good footballer. A quick-footed threat who seems to haul in anything that is around his smaller frame, he’d be an asset for an offense wanting a mismatch specialist on third downs and near the goal line. His lack of size and explosiveness will limit his upside in the draft, but it wouldn’t be surprising for him to make a final roster.
