The Las Vegas Raiders have staff members in the World Series. Yes, you read that right. Okay, maybe I should clarify -- the Little League World Series, as he is coaching his team, hopefully, to a win.

The Little League World Series is one of the best sporting events of the year, every year. You get to see kids from all over the world play for something huge and learn about more than just the sport they play in. It's really quite the spectacle of a sport.

The Raiders assistant equipment manager Adam Johnson has a team, the Henderson Paseo Verde Little League team, off to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Really, as Pierce has said, the team could take some pointers from him.

"We need some advice from him," Pierce said during his recap of the first preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings. "Hell, he's in the World Series. We need advice from him. I didn't know he was that good of a manager. Been holding him back.

"He spots the ball [for us in practice], and next thing I know, this guy's on ESPN celebrating with his team. No, we're extremely happy, supporting Adam all the way through. He'll be gone until his team, hopefully, wins the World Series and brings that trophy back to Nevada."

In all seriousness, this is one of the cooler stories you will hear right now, and it's not often you hear this happen, especially when it comes to the NFL. But, the team is beyond happy and rooting for Johnson.

His team plays their first game of the tournament bracket on August 15 , on ESPN.
