The Oklahoma Sooners are looking to land five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi out from under Texas and Texas A&M's nose. Less than 10 days before Fasusi reveals his commitment on August 21, anticipation is building. Now, that anticipation has turned into an expectation of where Fasusi will commit.

Fasusi has already stated he knows where he'll play college football. Heading into his upcoming decision, attention has centered on three leading contenders: Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M. While Fasusi has acknowledged these three as his top choices, he hasn't ruled out Florida and Oregon, which linger as potential underdog picks.

But, according to On3's Steve Wiltfong, Oklahoma has the buzz as the team to beat now.

Fasusi, who stands at 6 feet 6 inches and weighs 284 pounds, holds a five-star rating and is recognized as the third-best offensive tackle in the nation. He also secures the 10th spot on the Rivals100 list.

“I have my mind made up,” Fasusi told Orangebloods.com . “I’m just waiting for the D day.”

He also added this about the draw of Oklahoma, saying, "I love the culture, those guys work hard every single time. Coach (Bedenbaugh) and coach Venables, they never fail to tell me that OU is my best choice. Me and my family love it there.”

Funny enough, Fasusi has earned comparisons to former Oklahoma tackle and current Kansas City Chiefs linemen Wanya Morris. Here's a scout's take on Fasusi:

A standout offensive lineman who embodies the ideal of a cornerstone tackle, he brings to the table superior physical attributes combined with impressive athletic achievements in both track and field and combine evaluations.

Standing tall at 6-foot-5 with an extensive wingspan, his physique is well-proportioned, providing him with the potential to gain additional weight effectively. His background as a multi-sport athlete is distinguished by remarkable performances in shot put (over 50 feet) and discus (beyond 150 feet), and he has a history of playing soccer, making him a versatile competitor young for his 2025 class.

His athletic prowess is further evidenced by his exceptional vertical and broad jump measurements, which are on par with the expectations for an offensive tackle. His agility and quick feet enable him to excel in pass protection, effectively standing his ground alone against opponents. His agility also benefits his performance in the running game, allowing for smooth movement.

Although showing signs of developing punching power, it's expected to become more refined with additional training. From sophomore to junior year, he demonstrated significant improvements in close-quarters strength. His length and agility aid him in counteracting swift edge rushers, yet honing his technique remains crucial for facing high-level competition.

Despite a tendency to play with a high center of gravity, he's growing more adept at executing blocks decisively, with room still to showcase a fiercer competitive edge. As he approaches his senior year, he's recognized as one of the elite offensive tackle prospects for 2025, anticipated to be a primary starter for a top-tier college program with the physical and athletic characteristics indicating potential for an early selection in the NFL Draft.
