The Detroit Lions made a few roster moves on Monday, the most notable of all coming in the form of signing quarterback Jake Fromm.

The team also waived 2023 draft pick, wide receiver Antoine Green, and released veteran guard Ike Boettger and linebacker Ty Summers. The moves were announced via the team's Twitter/X account on Monday afternoon:

Fromm is one of the more accomplished QBs in Georgia Bulldogs history, as he finished his career with the second-most passing touchdowns (78) behind Aaron Murray. The move backs up Lions head coach Dan Campbell's words when he told he reporters on Sunday that the team was going to add a quarterback within the next couple of days.

Green, one of the players released, was drafted by the Lions in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft and recorded one reception for two yards on two targets during his rookie season. He appeared in nine games and logged 106 offensive snaps, along with 71 snaps on special teams. Per Pro Football Focus, he logged 10 snaps in the backfield (specifically at halfback), 33 snaps in the slot, and 63 snaps out wide, which showcased his versatility.

Boettger wasn't drafted by the Lions, but has been in the NFL since the 2018 season, and has appeared in 36 games with 17 starts. He was signed on July 22. Linebacker Ty Summers is another veteran who's played in 67 games since 2019, when he was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round.
