The Las Vegas Raiders have a much better roster in 2024 than they did in 2023. Whether you're talking about the depth or even the starters, the Raiders roster looks promising. But, there is one thing that can hold them back from being a playoff team in 2024. I think we all know what that is.

It's no secret that the Raiders' biggest issue, roster-wise, is the quarterback room. You know the age-old saying, if you have a quarterback battle, you have no quarterback. And, that's right, you don't have the guy. And, that's fine, we can assume that the Raiders will be trying to do that within the next few years. But, they feel like they can win right now.

The first preseason game of the year against the Minnesota Vikings was a good showing for both Aidan O'Connell and Gardener Minshew. There is still no clear winner, but what we did find out is that the third quarterback spot could certainly use some work.

Anthony Brown, the Oregon quarterback, wasn't great. He made errant throws, tried to run too many times, and was sacked three times. It just wasn't a great showing. So the Raiders made a roster move -- only this one makes their quarterback room, the worst position group on the team, even worse.

According to the team's Twitter account, the Raiders are signing Nathan Peterman, a former Buffalo Bills quarterback and Chicago Bears, who also played for the Raiders, too.

Sure, the immediate thought is that the Raiders are going to find out who their starting quarterback will be after this next preseason game , which means that they won't play the two primary QBs in preseason Week 3. So, why not sign another one to see if he can be better than Anthony Brown or Carter Bradley?

The thought is there because he played for Luke Getsy before, so he knows the playbook. But, that unfortunately doesn't matter much, because Nathan Peterman is bad. He's worse than Brown, and somehow, he is still in the league. Honestly, it's impressive that he's managed to still be in the league.

This move makes their room worse.
