The Oklahoma Sooners are in a unique position. They have a quarterback, who is only going into his second season, but his first as the starter, who is prepared to shock everyone. No one really knows what is going to happen in terms of how he will play in 2024-25. He could be amazing, or, he could be underwhelming -- both are very possible.

So, 2024 will be a shock for us all. The only thing we can do is be along for the ride. The Sooners are heading into one of the more difficult schedules in the country, if not the most difficult one, with six of their opponents being ranked top 15 in the Preseason AP Poll. But, that would only make for not only a good story for the playoff committee but for the Heisman voters when Jackson Arnold is a finalist.

Well, let's slow down a bit. It's possible, and if he continues to keep making some of the plays he's made at camp, a lot more people may start to jump on that bandwagon. The Sooners have seen it up close and personal and even shared some of the plays with us.

In one of the more recent ones that hit social media, we can see Jackson Arnold show elite ball placement as he darted a ball to Jalil Farooq in a tight window.

"Jackson's doing good," head coach Brent Venables recently said. "Again, from a leadership standpoint, showing up every day, he's been consistent. He's been challenged, and the guys he's been going up against every day, I think is making not only him but the offense better."

Arnold has a lot of pressure on his shoulders going into this season, and, that's okay. But from everything we are seeing at fall camp, he could be the quarterback that comes out of nowhere and surprises a lot of people. He wasn't a blue-chip prospect for no reason.
