'Always a little concerned' | Safety improvements along Rainey Street Trailhead almost complete
AUSTIN, Texas — John Langmore has lived in Austin for about 30 years and runs along Lady Bird Lake five to six days a week. He has always noticed something's been missing. "When you run early in the morning and it's dark, you realize just even where you step, you're always a little concerned of where you step," Langmore said. "So, I mean, you definitely feel the absence of lighting."
Caleb de Casper, Money Chicha, and More Crucial Concerts for the Week
To be honest, I’m having a hard time remembering when I first came across the leather-clad grandeur that is Chris Conde. It very well may have been a shout-out from another Austin legend, Mama Duke, at one of the first shows I ever attended with her as the headliner. It might have been a passing fancy that crossed my desk in the shape of a rapping metal-cased butterfly (#IYKYK). What I do know is that when I heard their acoustic version of Nineties Freaknik hood classic “Freak Like Me” by queen Adina Howard, I was irrevocably in love. It’s quite fitting that this NB shibari darlin’ will take the Little Darlin’ stage to ring in the nation’s near Semiquincentennial. The Notorious F.A.G. comes home after being away for a few years, and shares the spotlight with “Austin’s prevailing rock and roll glamour boy,” Caleb De Casper. – Cy White.

No. 7 OT Lamont Rogers sets decision date
The Longhorns are one of six finalists for the Mesquite Horn product. As the Texas Longhorns continue to target Lewisville consensus five-star prospect Michael Fasusi as Kyle Flood’s top target along the offensive line, head coach Steve Sarkisian and his staff are trying to make a late surge with Mesquite Horn offensive tackle Lamont Rogers to add an elite prospect to the class ahead of Fasusi’s decision. And that could happen on Saturday when Rogers chooses between the Longhorns, the Florida State Seminoles, Missouri Tigers, Oklahoma Sooners, SMU Mustangs, and Texas A&M Aggies, he announced on Thursday. During the spring...
Texas A&M’s Dominance Over Texas Longhorns Stuns Fans as Key Players Return
The Schlossnagle coup by the Longhorns, as it turns out, wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. What was portrayed to be a seismic shift by Texas fans looks now as though it was only momentarily destabilizing for Texas A&M baseball. Texas thought they were essentially vivisecting a program that had completely passed them by; after all, the Aggies ended Texas’s season two out of the last three years, and now the Longhorns thought they were getting the coach that was primarily responsible for that level of play. Not only him, either, but all of the players that really…

With all the chaos surrounding Jim Schlossnagle’s semi-disastrous exit to head the Texas Longhorns baseball program just a day after Texas A&M’s College World Series Finals loss to Tennessee, Aggies athletic director Trev Alberts was determined to find his successor much sooner than later. Just five days later, it was announced after interviewing nearly a dozen candidates that former hitting coach Michael Earley, who tentatively followed Schlossnagle to Austin, was hired as A&M’s 21st head coach in program history following an impressive interview coupled with current players, prospects and fellow coaches immense respect what he brings to the table.
