Former Georgia Bulldogs star cornerback Kelee Ringo didn't make much of an impact in his first year with the NFL, but he believes Year 2 is going to look a lot different, which he's already proven so far this offseason.

"I would definitely say I'm a much better football player than I was then," Ringo told reporters a few weeks ago. "You know, just having more experiences being out there in games. I know a lot more what the game looks like now. So I feel like just having that experience and putting that foot forward, definitely helps me a lot."

Ringo is currently the reason the Philadelphia Eagles' most exciting training camp battle at cornerback is still very much alive and well.

The Eagles are looking for their CB2 opposite Darius Slay and Ringo has been nothing short of impressive throughout spring ball and camp. However, he will need to beat out veteran Isaiah Rodgers , who looks like the favorite to win that job heading into the second week of preseason games.

The two have been going back and forth sharing first-team defensive reps , though Rodgers has been getting more looks there lately.

Rodgers also started in the Eagles' first preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens last Friday. But when Ringo took over for him, he looked solid in coverage and logged two pass breakups, including one he batted away in the end zone.

Ringo will get another chance to prove that this CB2 battle is far from over on Thursday night when the Birds face the New England Patriots in Foxborough.

The Georgia product enters his second season in the NFL after the Eagles drafted him in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Ringo played in all 17 games with four starts where he recorded one interception, one sack, 21 tackles, and two pass breakups.

Before entering the NFL, Ringo started 27 of the 30 games he played at Georgia, logging 76 total tackles (63 solo), 19 pass breakups, and four interceptions. His legacy will live on forever at Georgia for being the player who broke the Bulldogs' national championship dry spell in 2021 when he intercepted Alabama's Bryce Young and ran it back 79 yards for the game-winning touchdown.

We'll continue to follow along with the Eagles' most exciting camp battle and see how things ultimately shake out for the Georgia legend at the end of training camp.
