Denver Broncos host a special guest at training camp practice who used to be the sworn enemy

How times have changed? First, we have Jon Gruden, the former Las Vegas Raiders head coach at the Kansas City Chiefs practice, and now we have a former Dallas Cowboys head coach at the Denver Broncos practice. It really is a different time now in 2024.

But, in all seriousness, these days head coaches are looking to bring anyone on to help them -- any bright football mind to help them learn, too, because you can never know too much in the NFL, even head coaches who have won three Super Bowls like Andy Reid bring in help.

And now, Sean Payton is doing it, and he won a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints. He's showing to be as humble as they come, even when you have done the one thing that every coach dreams of.

With the Broncos beating the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday in their first preseason game of the year, they now look ahead to their second preseason game with the Green Bay Packers, who they will also hold a joint practice with this week.

Before those joint practices get kicked off, Mike Klis of Denver 9 news noticed that former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett was at practice. When he was with Dallas, and even still today, the Broncos and their fans hated the Cowboys.

It's one of those rivalries that don't happen often because they are in different conferences, but when they do play they don't like one another. The fact that the Broncos lost a Super Bowl to the Cowboys helps fuel the future, too.

The last time the Broncos played Jason Garrett with the Cowboys, the Broncos beat them down 42-17. The Broncos have beaten the Cowboys in seven straight games, as Dallas has yet to beat the Broncos since 1995.

Seeing former head coaches at team practices now is the norm, whether they were once sworn enemies or not.
