The Kansas City Chiefs' annual all-access journey, "The Franchise" is back. The team has documented each season since their Super Bowl LIV win, providing a unique insight into how the team accomplishes its goals through the eyes of the players, coaches, and staff.

The show always provides some unique glimpses into the team that would have never before been seen, and the first episode of the latest season held to that. The 2024 NFL season kicks off in St. Joseph, Missouri at training camp, where the team lays a strong foundation and begins to build camaraderie for the upcoming campaign .

At the end of the first episode, Chiefs DT Chris Jones broke the huddle for the entire defensive line, and in doing so, he gave an epic post-practice speech that shows you exactly why the team signed him to a monster contract extension this offseason .

You can watch the speech in the episode above, or check out the transcript down below.

"The opportunity with this group is special, man. You might not be here next year, you might not be here next year, you might not be here next year, you might not be here next year, you might not be here next year. So you've got to appreciate, appreciate these moments. The grind? Appreciate it. When I tell y'all about something, I'm not just talking to you. I'm critiquing you so that when December comes and we're tired, our bodies are beat the *expletive* up and we don't really want to practice, we're out there, we're shooting with technique. Because when you're tired the thing you rely on is what you're coached to do: Technique. Whether it's bad technique or good technique.  Coach, Joe (Cullen) and Terry (Bradden) can teach all they want, but at the end of the day, it depends on us. We've got to hold each other accountable. You know what I'm saying? That's what I'm saying, bro. Enjoy today, learn from it, and still pick that shit back up, because tomorrow, it's a whole new day. But hell of a day, man. I don't want to take nothing from it. We can build off of that and keep grinding dog. Dogs on three." - Chiefs DT Chris Jones

Jones isn't just an All-Pro defensive lineman, he's an All-Pro motivator and an All-Pro teammate. Even on the days that he's been out of practice with groin and shoulder injuries at training camp, he's out on the practice field, coaching up his teammates and giving them tips and pointers that will help make them better. There's a reason that he makes the big bucks, and this is a part of it, and a part not often witnessed.

One of the coolest parts of the speech was seeing third-year defensive end George Karlaftis echoing Jones, who has been pivotal in his journey and success in the NFL. Karlaftis is learning and becoming a leader on the defense in his own right thanks largely to lessons that he's learned from Jones. Even at the end of the episode, Karlaftis says what every member of the Chiefs Kingdom was probably thinking after listening: "Hell of a speech."

You can watch the next episode of "The Franchise" premiering on the Chiefs' YouTube channel on Thursday, August 29.
