Los Angeles Chargers first-round rookie offensive tackle Joe Alt, along with a few of his teammates, joined Kay Adams on her show, Up & Adams, on Friday morning.

Ahead of preseason Week 2, they all shared some tidbits about their new team and playing for Jim Harbaugh. Some questions were about football, while others were simply just life asks.

For the Chargers rookie lineman, he had a strong take about the price of living in LA.

Joe Alt isn't a fan of rent price in Los Angeles

Alt proved he's just like an everyday habitant of the city. It's an expensive lifestyle, simply to have a place to live there. He's certainly not used to it, but he is adjusting. Alt noted the traffic in LA as well.

    "I'm a midwest kid so LA's a little different... I'm used to 5 miles taking 5 minutes - not 25-30 minutes." -- Alt

The rookie tackle also discussed how veteran edge rusher Khalil Mack has helped him develop so far. It was a gleaming review of the future Hall of Fame pass rusher. He's learned plenty from Mack already.

"I've never met a rusher you can go up and talk to, and he'll actually point out what he sees you're doing." -- Alt on Mack

Joe Alt says Justin Herbert has savage mentality

"I think SAVAGE is really what encompasses him. He steps in the huddle and it's a different mindset. He's ready to ROCK N' ROLL." -- Alt on Herbert

Adams also talked to new Chargers RB J.K. Dobbins. The running back, looking to prove himself in a new place, is big believer in Chargers OC Greg Roman. Dobbins played for the offensive assistant during his Baltimore Ravens tenure, too.

We will see if the confidence from the Chargers offense translates to success during the 2024 season.
