Three Bengals who may've lost their jobs after Week 2 preseason game vs Bears

Time is running out to make the initial 53-man roster for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Saturday's 27-3 loss to the Chicago Bears provided useful insight as to which players have the upper hand at key position battles. But for every player on the rise, like linebacker Maema Njongmeta , there is a player headed in the opposite direction.

These three Bengals players may've sealed their fate with how Week 2 of the preseason turned out.

    RG Trey Hill

Injuries and an opportunity for rookie Matt Lee to handle an entire game at center pushed Hill to right guard against the Bears, and the fourth-year player had more than an acceptable amount of miscues. He was penalized three times Saturday while Lee, Jaxson Kirkland, and Nate Gilliam all had solid outings to the left of him. As Cincinnati finalizes its offensive line room, Hill has not helped his case to stick around.

    LT Jackson Carman

Perhaps the biggest statement made by the coaching staff was starting Kirkland over Carman at left tackle . The first eight drives belonged to Kirkland while Carman got the final two, which is when Devin Cochran also took over at right tackle for Cody Ford. Carman's previous game clearly had an impact on his positioning at the tackle position. He has one more game to turn things around if it isn't already too late.

    QB Logan Woodside

In fairness, Woodside was likely getting cut as Jake Browning's spot at backup quarterback was never up for grabs. But with Browning nursing a rib injury, there may've been a window for Woodside to sneak onto the roster as an emergency third QB should Browning's absence carry over into the regular season. Two interceptions and consistent failure to recognize blitzes may've eliminated Woodside's case to make that happen.
