The Oklahoma Sooners football recruiting class for 2025 has been a focal point of discussion in this crazy 2024-25 offseason, especially given Oklahoma's transition to the SEC.

As of right now, the class features a strong mix of offensive and defensive talents, with a particular emphasis on skill positions and the offensive line, crucial for their transition to the SEC where those position groups will be valued at an all-time high for the Sooners.

Under head coach Brent Venables, Oklahoma has continued its tradition of attracting top talent, with a strategy that seems to prioritize speed, athleticism, and players who can make an immediate impact.

The transition to the SEC has influenced this strategy, focusing on recruits who can handle the physicality and speed of SEC play. So, in other words, you'd like to say that Venables is doing it the right way.

The addition of players like Ryan Fodje and the potential commitment of Michael Fasusi, a 5-star offensive tackle, underscores Oklahoma's focus on building a strong front.

Now, the Sooners would like to add more offensive line recruits with how their roster is projected to fill out, and, luckily for them, the potential commitment of Fasusi is starting to look more and more legit.

According to On3's National College Football Recruiting and Transfer Portal analyst Steve Wiltfong, the Sooners are projected to land the five-star offensive tackle. Wiltfong logged an expert prediction for Fasusi going to OU, which, these days, it feels like if you want to be an elite offensive lineman in the NFL, Oklahoma is the place to go.

Look at guys like Creed Humphrey, the best center in the NFL playing for the Kansas City Chiefs, Lane Johnson, the best right guard in the NFL playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, and even guys like Tyler Guyton, a rookie in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys who played extremely well against Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders just a few days ago.

The Sooners are producing talent on the offensive line. If Fasusi wants to develop his game even more, OU is the right place.

He will announce his commitment on Wednesday.
