We are just a little over the week away from Notre Dame football kicking the 2024 season against Texas A&M. Fall camp has now kicked into Aggie prep, starting to solidify the starting lineup in preparation. With so much buzz the last few weeks, there are several potential breakout stars that could make huge strides this fall.

Here are those players, which Notre Dame fans should be very excited about. It includes two offensive players, and two more standouts on defense. These are the fall breakouts to know.

    RB Jeremiyah Love

Selecting Love feels like low hanging fruit, especially since he’s been a huge winner of this entire offseason. The praise has continued into fall camp, where everyone around the program continues to be so high on what the St. Louis native can accomplish moving forward. Everyone knows Love is dynamic. He’s fast, explosive, quick, and catches the football extremely well. The positive note is that Love is up into the 210-pound range, which is great to hear. Adding the power profile could be a major difference.

    OT Aamil Wagner

Leaving the spring, it appeared that Wagner would be in a fierce battle with Tosh Baker to start at right tackle. Before the spring started, it appeared that Baker had made his move. While undersized at around 290 pounds, Wagner brings very underrated power along with incredible length and foot quickness. Notre Dame needs Wagner to play well, and he’s been consistent the last few months. His upside is immense, and he’s starting to realize it.

    EDGE Boubacar Traore

The Irish need to have a lot more consistency with their ability to win the edge, and finish at the quarterback. Duke transfer RJ Oben is expected to be the team’s top pass rusher, but he can’t be the only answer. Traore also brings that major upside, having tremendous explosiveness and length for days. There continues to be praise about Traore, who was called unblockable at times. If they get the best version of Traore consistently, good luck to opposing defenses.

    ROVER Jaylen Sneed

Notre Dame fans have been waiting for Sneed to finally breakout, and it looks like it could finally be coming to fruition. The South Carolina native has always been incredibly talented and athletic, but somewhat positionless. It appears that he has finally settled into that rover position, and has now grown to 6-1 and 222 pounds. Sneed is explosive, can rush the quarterback, and covers a lot of ground when navigating space. The key will be for Sneed to play disciplined football this fall, and it sounds like he is right now.
