Just when it was conceivable the outlandish Lamar Jackson hate was over, it started again.

Super Bowl-winning wide receiver James Jones took it to Jackson on Fox Sports 1's "Speak."

He tried to claim that Jackson was an average quarterback at best. Yes, you read that correctly.

"He's [Jackson] average at best," Jones said . "Are we keeping it 100? Lamar Jackson is one of my favorite players. At best in the playoffs, he's average... So he has to accept the criticism and go out here and make sure, 'Hey man, y'all think I can't do this? Watch this.' He has to do that. But the criticism is absolutely fair, because he's not the Lamar Jackson that we're used to seeing in the playoffs versus the regular season."

Jackson hasn't had the playoff success several would expect. But to claim that he is average is just misguided.

Jackson is a two-time MVP. He is the most eclectic playmaker at the quarterback position in the NFL.

Like in years past, Jackson will use the hate from the critics as motivation . There is merit to claim he hasn't produced sustainably, holding a 2-4 playoff record. However, if the Ravens live up to their potential , Jackson can quiet the haters sooner rather than later.
