NFL insider suggests the Las Vegas Raiders should make a move that will only make the fan base even more upset

There are a lot of Las Vegas Raiders fans out there who are pretty upset with what the Raiders did during the 2023 NFL Draft. They should have gone after a quarterback and tried to trade up, especially now knowing that Dave Ziegler wanted C.J. Stroud, and Josh McDaniels did not.

Instead, they drafted a guy who wasn't great last year as a rookie and is continuing to show flashes, but not enough, quick enough, for the fan base to be pleased.

In the 2023 NFL Draft, Tyree Wilson was selected seventh overall by the Las Vegas Raiders, indicating high expectations from his professional career due to his raw talent and potential.

Wilson played college football at both Texas A&M and Texas Tech. His college career was marked by significant achievements, including being named Defensive MVP of the 2021 Liberty Bowl and earning a spot on the All-Big 12 First Team. His versatility across different defensive line positions and his physical attributes, like a 6'6" height and an impressive wingspan, made him a standout prospect.

In his rookie season with the Raiders, Wilson played in 17 games. His stats included 29 total tackles, with 16 solo, 3.5 sacks, and one forced fumble, showcasing his impact on the defensive line despite being a newcomer. His first career sack came in a game against the Chicago Bears, in what was really a game that didn't have much positives.

Wilson faced a setback with a foot injury that required surgery, which led to him missing significant time during training camp and the preseason. However, his recovery was monitored closely, with reports suggesting he was progressing well, indicating optimism about his long-term health and performance.

But, he's still not looking great in the preseason. As many have noted, including the fan base and the media covering the team, Wilson isn't playing with high intensity or motor. And, it's pissed fans off. So, that has sparked some discussion, and it appears that one NFL insider has suggested something that would only make the situation worse for the Raiders fan base.

According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Raiders should trade away Wilson. Now, this isn't a report saying they will or are thinking about it, or anything like that, but that they should.

That would only make the fans more upset, as they drafted a guy that they couldn't even really use, and will probably get nothing in return for in in comparison to what they spent to get Wilson. That's not something I'd recommend.
