Buffalo Bills should run, not walk, to immediately sign recently released wide receiver

As of right now, the Buffalo Bills are still working on roster cuts, but one thing is apparent – they should absolutely have their eyes on gettin better at wide receiver.

After releasing Tyrell Shavers, who had a fantastic camp and preseason , along with former fifth-round pick Justin Shorter, Buffalo should have their eyes on players that suddenly come available. One such wide receiver that was just released is Noah Brown, formerly of the Houston Texans.

Buffalo should sign Noah Brown for a depth role

As a free agent, Brown will be free to sign wherever he wants and won't be subject to waivers. With that in mind, Brandon Beane should already be on the phone with his agent.

I can't imagine a much better depth possibility for Buffalo than Noah Brown. The 28-year-old is 6'2" 225 lbs, which would add a size element to the depth chart at receiver that is missing after the release of Shavers and Shorter. Brown is prolific after the catch, and averaged a very robust 17.2 yards per reception for the Texans last season.

He saw the field when Houston was battling through receiver injuries, and took full advantage. Between Week 8-9 last year, against the Buccaneers and on the road in Cincinnati, Brown caught 13 of 14 targets for 325 yards and a touchdown. I'll take that type of insane upside off the bench any day of the week.

Brown is a physical wide receiver that wins at the catch point, and is incredibly tough to bring down once he has the ball. He wins vertically consistently, and would be an option that that Bills could use to fill in their depth chart.

Behind Khalil Shakir , Keon Coleman , and Curtis Samuel , there's more questions than answers on the Bills depth chart. For my money, I'd rather see Brown on the field than Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Buffalo should bring him in instantly.
