The 2024 Miami Dolphins 53-man roster is now set after the team announced its final round of cuts on Tuesday afternoon.

There weren't many major surprises among the cuts.  However, there were a few curious moves, including cutting long-snapper Blake Ferguson, WR Erik Ezukanma, and RB Chris Brooks.

Here's the 53-man roster in its entirety.

Quarterbacks (2): Tua Tagovailoa, Skylar Thompson

This was set in stone after the release of Mike White on Monday.  It's possible the Dolphins aren't done adding QBs, but for now, Thompson is QB2 and on the 53.

Running Backs (5): Raheem Mostert, De'Von Achane, Jaylen Wright, Jeff Wilson, Jr., Alec Ingold

Brooks getting cut (listed as "waived/injured") is a bit of a surprise given the strong camp he's had.  However, there's simply too much talent in this running back room, perhaps the best in the league.

Wide Receivers (4): Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Braxton Berrios, Malik Washington

    PUP: Odell Beckham, Jr.

    Injured Reserve: River Cracraft

OBJ is going on the reserve/PUP list, which means the Dolphins have just two healthy receivers in Braxton Berrios and Malik Washington and a handful of other players with other ailments to start the season.  Not ideal.  Ezukanma getting waived is a bit surprising to me.

Offensive line (10): Terron Armstead, Kendall Lamm, Patrick Paul, Austin Jackson, Aaron Brewer, Robert Jones, Liam Eichenberg, Lester Cotton, Jake Driscoll, Andrew Meyer

    PUP: Isaiah Wynn

A chalky bunch here, among the first nine, but Andrew Meyer's inclusion was a small bit of a surprise for me.  10 offensive linemen seems a bit heavy, but Miami doesn't have many strong answers on the interior of its line right now.

Tight ends (4): Jonnu Smith, Durham Smythe, Julian Hill, Tanner Conner

Tanner Conner had a nice preseason and was rewarded with a roster spot.  The only question mark among the group going into cut day.

Defensive line (5): Zach Sieler, Calais Campbell, Benito Jones, Brandon Pili, Da'Shawn Hand

Neville Gallimore was someone I saw as having a legit chance, but he fell just short.  Same with Jonathan Harris and Isaiah Mack.  In the end, the fringe reserve DT spots went to Brandon Pili and Da'Shawn Hand.

Edge rushers (5): Jaelan Phillips, Chop Robinson, Quinton Bell, Emmanuel Ogbah, Mo Kamara

    Pup: Bradley Chubb, Cameron Goode

No real surprises here.  About as expected as it gets.

Linebackers (5): Jordyn Brooks, David Long, Jr., Anthony Walker, Jr., Channing Tindall, Duke Riley

Miami actually went with five inside linebackers.  Could have been four, but they kept both Anthony Walker, Jr. and Duke Riley, at least on the initial 53.  We'll see if Walker, Jr. avoids an IR trip in the coming day or two.  Tindall was the pleasant surprise of the group in camp with a strong preseason.

Cornerbacks (6): Jalen Ramsey, Kendall Fuller, Kader Kohou, Ethan Bonner, Siran Neal, Storm Duck.

    Injured reserve: Cam Smith

Isaiah Johnson and Nik Needham were the latest cuts, and are both players I could have seen on the roster.  However, Storm Duck earned his spot without question.

Safeties (5): Jevon Holland, Jordan Poyer, Marcus Maye, Elijah Campbell, Patrick McMorris

Patrick McMorris was on the cut line, but the Fins' 2024 sixth-round pick earned a roster spot.  Well deserved, too.

Specialists (2): Jason Sanders, Jake Bailey

Blake Ferguson not being on the 53 is a bit surprising at first glance.  However, it likely means a move from a current 53-man roster player (or multiple) to IR is coming, which would give him room to be added back on.
