A pair of players stand out that the Cleveland Browns may want to target on the waiver wire

All the cuts have been made around the NFL for teams to trim their 90-man rosters down to 53 for the 2024 NFL season . But just because the cuts are done, does not mean that moves are done being made.

Teams will now turn their attention to the waiver wire, which is a good way to add young talent that you can develop and add to the roster. Cleveland will have the No. 23 spot in the waiver wire priority order, which follows the NFL Draft order from April.

A couple of players stand out that the Browns may want to put a claim on and one just happens to be a familiar player.

    OT Leroy Watson

Cleveland traded Watson this past offseason to the Titans for a seventh-round pick and he is available once again . Watson appeared in seven games for the Browns last season and is just 26 years old. As it currently stands, the Browns have Hakeem Adeniji on the injured reserve and parted ways with Germain Ifedi.

Jedrick Wills Jr. and Jack Conklin have both been cleared to practice, joining Dawand Jones and James Hudson as the court tackles on the offense roster. It would not surprise if the Browns added one.

    RB Frank Gore Jr.

In a surprise move, the Browns cut running back D’Onta Foreman and have just two running backs healthy for Week 1 between Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. Foreman could very well make his way back on Wednesday or Thursday, but Gore stands as a name that the Browns could target if not.

In the preseason, Gore carried the ball 18 times for 101 yards and had a 57-yard touchdown run. The 22-year-old would be a move to add some more youth to the running back room behind Nick Chubb. While the Buffalo Bills would like him back on their practice squad, some teams in the NFL may show interest in the son of Frank Gore.
