3 players on the waiver wire that Philadelphia Eagles need to target after final roster cuts

The Philadelphia Eagles' initial 53-man roster is here , but don't get too comfortable with it just yet.

Howie Roseman and the rest of the Eagles' front office are always looking for ways to perfect their lineup, which means you can expect them to look across the league at the waiver wires for some additions.

Following roster cutdown day, the Eagles are No. 22 on the waivers wire ahead of Wednesday's claim noon deadline.

Here are three players the Eagles might look to target off of the waivers.

Caleb Farley, CB

The Eagles' secondary runs deep but they're always going to be looking to add more or better talent.

Caleb Farley, a former first-round pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2021, is headed to the wires after being cut on Tuesday.

Farley's first three seasons in the league have been hindered by injuries as he's appeared in just 12 games with two starts, logging 14 tackles and one pass defense.

Still, he could offer some great emergency depth if he can stay healthy.

KJ Henry, Edge

KJ Henry was a bit of a surprise cut by the Washington Commanders and they're probably hoping he goes unclaimed.

But that's good news for the Eagles who might be able to get him.

Henry, a fifth-round pick by Washington in 2023, had a really strong training camp and preseason performance where he recorded 10 pressures.

The Eagles could use some quality depth in their edge room, especially after a concerning preseason performance by Nolan Smith. It also doesn't help that Brandon Graham is getting older so they could benefit from adding some younger talent.

Lewis Cine, S

At one point, the Eagles had trade discussions with the Minnesota Vikings for safety Lewis Cine, per Darren Wolfson of KTSP.

Now, Cine is headed to the waivers.

The Eagles already have several former Georgia Bulldogs on their roster, so why turn their back on adding another one that will bolster their defensive depth?

Cine was originally selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft. Injuries have not been kind to Cine, though he looks healthy again. He finished the preseason with eight tackles, an interception, and a sack.
