A pair of former Tennessee Vols landed on the Tennessee Titans' practice squad on Wednesday.

Former Tennessee running back Jabari Small and former Vols defensive back Gabe Jeudy-Lally were both waived on Tuesday as part of the Titans' final roster cutdown.

Small and Jeudy-Lally were both signed by the Titans as undrafted free agents shortly after the 2024 NFL Draft earlier this spring.

The Titans announced on Wednesday that both players have been signed to the team's practice squad.

While neither player will be on the Titans' initial 53-man roster, both players will have a chance to be elevated from the practice squad if their services are needed at some point this season (or another team could sign them off the Titans' practice squad).

Small and Jeudy-Lally both had solid training camps/preseasons with the Titans. And both players were among the Titans' final cuts.

If they both continue to put in the work, they should eventually get a shot on an active roster in the NFL. This is just the beginning of their journey. Making a 53-man roster as an undrafted rookie is always an uphill battle, after all. But just because they didn't make a 53-man roster in late August doesn't mean they won't eventually be mainstays in the NFL.
