The Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets have quite an interesting history in recent years and safety Lewis Cine is the latest to join them. According to NFL Network's Mike Garofolo, Cine spurned the Jets and is headed to sign with the Buffalo Bills practice squad.

Cine picking the Bills over the Jets is interesting but it could be a better fit for him, as Sean McDermott runs a base 4-3 defense, something that fits his skill set better.

This is also not the first time that a Vikings player has spurned the Jets. Kirk Cousins did so in 2018 when the Jets offered him a full $90 million guaranteed and he picked the Vikings who only offered $84 million guaranteed, but supplemented that with bonuses of $2 million for each year he led the Vikings to the Super Bowl.

It continued in the 2019 offseason when the Vikings thought they were losing linebacker Anthony Barr. He had agreed to a deal worth approximately $14.5 million with the Jets and changed his mind within 36 hours, singing with the Vikings for just over $13 million per season.

This isn't the first time and it wont' be the last time that the Vikings see a player spurn the Jets, but it is funny that it's happened more than once.
