When the Tennessee Titans released the initial 53-man roster , there were clearly a few position groups that appeared to be a work in progress. Just two days after Tuesday's final roster cut deadline, the Titans' vision at one of those positions is starting to come together.

One of the biggest surprises on Tennessee's initial depth chart came with just four cornerbacks listed. Teams typically enter the regular season with at least six cornerbacks, so general manager Ran Carthon had plans to bolster the position from outside of the building.

On Thursday, it was announced the team had claimed former Colts cornerback Darrell Baker Jr. off waivers. Baker was a part of the final roster cuts in Indianapolis earlier this week.

Baker spent two seasons with the Colts after going undrafted in 2022. The Georgia Southern product appeared in 14 games last season, logging six starts along the way. He finished the season tallying 35 tackles and seven passes defensed.

Former Titans Tre Avery and Eric Garror were two players who were on the wrong side of Tennessee's final roster cuts. With room to add another cornerback, expect the Titans to continue to sift through the current free agency rubble and either sign a newcomer or promote a player from the practice squad rather than later.
