We don’t know how the 2024 college football season is going to go for the Colorado Buffaloes. One thing is for sure though, they are going to be fun.

Shedeur Sanders connected with Travis Hunter for a 41-yard touchdown with 9:31 left in the first quarter for the first touchdown of the season for Colorado in their first game against North Dakota State. Hunter took a short catch and turned on the burners to beat the defense.

Los Angeles Lakers small forward and future Hall of Famer LeBron James took note of Sanders and Hunter’s arrival to the 2024 season. Like most of us, James is a football fan of both the college and NFL levels. Though, his fandom of exact teams is questionable at times.

Hunter is expected to be a high draft pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The stud athlete projects most likely as a lockdown corner, but he could be one of the top wideouts in the draft too. Sanders could be right there as one of the first quarterbacks selected .

Sanders and Hunter are both among the players to watch in the Heisman Trophy race for the 2024 season.

Both players combined with head coach Deion Sanders give the Buffaloes a whole lot of attention. At least on offense they are starting the season off on the right foot.

Near the end of the first quarter, Sanders connected with wide receiver Jimmy Horn for a huge 71-yard touchdown. Colorado led the game 14-10 after a quarter of play.

Hunter would go on to finish with three touchdown catches and 132 receiving yards on seven catches. The two-way player had two tackles on defense. Sanders threw for 445 yards and four touchdowns to one unlucky interception.

Colorado starts the season off 1-0 by holding off North Dakota State by a score of 31-26. Things are going to get a lot tougher than an FCS opponent going forward.
