Browns’ Wyatt Teller is already showing respect to the Dallas Cowboy that could wreck Cleveland’s offensive plans

Myles Garrett wasn’t to repeat in 2024 as the Defensive Player of the Year but that is said than done. One of the players that could challenge for the award, the Cleveland Browns will be tasked with slowing in Week 1.

Micah Parsons is a load to deal with for the Dallas Cowboys defense and the Browns will have to do their best to limit his game-wrecking ability to begin the season. Cleveland is plenty familiar with Parsons as a player and off of the field .

On Tuesday, Pro Bowl right guard Wyatt Teller didn’t sugarcoat just how good that Parsons is.

"He's a hell of a player, I think he has the ability to do it," Teller said of Parson's DPOY chances. "One of my best friends on the team is Myles Garrett, so he's going to have to beat him out. Myles is always looking good. But Micah has all the intangibles, tangibles. He's a hell of a pass rusher."

Parsons is entering his fourth NFL season and already has 40.5 sacks to his resume. The Penn State product had 64 tackles and 14 sacks last season in 17 games played. He was a threat to win DPOY and will again be in 2024. Other players like Maxx Crosby, and T.J. Watt will be in that conversation with Garrett too.

It is unclear whether the Browns will start Jedrick Wills Jr., Jack Conklin, or James Hudson at left tackle in the season opener. Dawand Jones will hold down the right tackle spot. Wills has not practiced yet leading up to the season and it would be tough to see him play with only a couple of days of practice. Conklin is back at practice and is an option to flip to the left side.

In the past, the Cowboys have moved Parsons around and gave offenses all kinds of fits with him. It is unclear what the plan will be with Mike Zimmer now calling the defense. One thing is for sure though, the Browns better make him a huge part of their gameplan or he will hurt them.
