The Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens are set to square off at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium for Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season.

Once again, the bright lights will shine on the reigning Super Bowl champions as they defend their home turf in a rematch of last year's AFC Championship Game. The Chiefs will be without one of their starting players on offense due to injury , while the Ravens will be missing two rookies due to injury.

Here's a quick breakdown of the inactive players for each team during tonight's game:

    Chiefs inactive players:

    • WR Hollywood Brown
    • OT Ethan Driskell
    • OL CJ Hanson
    • TE Peyton Hendershot
    • DT Marlon Tuipulotu

    Ravens inactive players:

    • OLB Adisa Isaac
    • OL Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu
    • S Beau Brade
    • C Nick Samac
    • CB T.J. Tampa
    • DE Brent Urban
    • WR Devontez Walker

    Observations:

As expected, Kansas City did not elevate any players from the practice squad this week. That means they only need to list five players as inactive for Thursday night.

Outside of Hollywood Brown, the Chiefs are mostly benching new players. Two are rookies, one is a 53-man roster cuts trade acquisition and another is a free agent signed by the team just days ago.

The Ravens are a very healthy football team right now, outside of rookie OLB Isaac, they're not missing many players who make much of a tangible impact. Arthur Mautlet is on injured reserve, with a return designation. That's probably the player they'll miss most in this one.
