Jaxson Dart showing exactly why he's the best quarterback in the SEC as he plays perfectly for Ole Miss

Jaxson Dart is two games into his 2024 college football season with Ole Miss and he's looked near absolutely perfect. In Week 1 he tossed the rock for over 400 yards and five touchdowns in the first half alone against lowly Furman. But his Week 2 performance against a much better MTSU team was even more impressive.

Dart completed his first 24 passes against MTSU on Saturday as he coasted to another 377 passing yards to go along with his 418 last week. Through the first half Dart hadn't missed a single completion, and as Jacob Edmunds noted in his post below, his first full four quarters of the season yielded unbelievable results. 641 passing yards, five passing touchdowns, 22 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns in just his first full game's worth of action.

Thanks to Dart's near perfect day that finished with him completing 25 of 27 passes on the game he is now averaging 14.7 yards per pass attempt, nearly 400 passing yards per game, and three touchdowns per game. All this without having to play even three full quarters of a single game.

Dart will likely get his first real test in the coming weeks, but it's good to see him annihilate the competition set before him. Next week's matchup against Wake Forest won't be an easy one. Then soon after that he'll face Kentucky, South Carolina, LSU, and Oklahoma in four straight weeks.

There's virtually no way he holds his absurd efficiency rates across the board, but Dart has clearly taken his game to a whole new level this season. If the Ole Miss rushing attack dominates like it did on Saturday too, Lane Kiffin is going to have his Rebels competing for a national championship this season in the first ever 12-Team College Football Playoff.
