A man was shot to death inside a vehicle on Chicago's South Side on Saturday evening, police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood's 7200-block of South Washtenaw Avenue just after 7:15 p.m.
A 21-year-old man was inside a vehicle when he was struck by gunfire multiple times, police said. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Chicago Pastor Brooks spoke with ABC7 and identified the victim as his godson, Christion Tucker.
It's a loss that certainly hits close to home for Brooks, who has spent years in the city trying to help the community and stop gun violence just like this.
He said his 21-year-old godson was a good kid playing college sports, and now the family is desperate for answers in his death.

"This is her 21-year-old son... great kid... a student... sports... in college... just a tough situation," Brooks said.
Tucker was waiting in his car near when he was shot and later pronounced dead, Brooks said. That's when the pastor got a call about his godson.
"When it happens to you, and when it happens to people close to you, it makes you understand that there's still a lot of work to do," Brooks said. "We're gonna do everything we can to help this family."
Brooks said Tucker was a young man with a bright future ahead of him, as he was playing basketball at a junior college and preparing to make the jump to a four-year university.

The family is now offering a $10,000 dollar reward for any information leading to an arrest.
"He was just waiting in a car and someone just took his life, but he wasn't a bad kid," Brooks said. "He wasn't in a gang... he wasn't a kid running around doing mischievous stuff... he was a really, really good kid."
Police said they're still investigating the circumstances around the shooting and no one has been arrested.
