    SWAT response in Odessa nets two arrests

    ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- An Odessa man was arrested Tuesday evening after investigators searched his home and allegedly found large amounts of narcotics. Timothy Allen Sanches, 38, has been charged with three counts of Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one count of Possession of Marijuana.

    According to an Odessa Police Department report, on July 30, officers were called to the 1500 block of E 37 th Street to assist SWAT with executing a search warrant on Sanches’ home. During that search, investigators said they found various items associated with the sale of narcotics, including electronic scales, and cash. Additionally, officers found 118.2 grams of cocaine, 25 grams of methamphetamine, six THC vape pens, 17.20 ounces of marijuana, 32.4 grams of Psilocybin, and 6.7 grams of Ecstasy.

    Sanches was arrested at the scene and taken to the Ector County Law Enforcement Center where he remained as of Wednesday afternoon, his bond has not yet been set. Additionally, another person in the home, identified as 28-year-old Markece Dorell Hinds was also arrested at the scene; he’s been charged with one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia by OPD and was also served with an arrest warrant out of another county.

    The report did not state what prompted law enforcement officials to seek a search warrant for the home and mugshot for Sanches and Hinds were not immediately available.
