A Middlesex County man is headed to prison for his role in an attempted robbery in New Brunswick where the victim was shot 14 times. 23-year-old Jonathan Rosales of New Brunswick previously pleaded guilty to an indictment charging him with conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act robbery and attempted Hobbs Act robbery.

Today is a memorable day in Rutgers history as it was exactly 10 years ago that Rutgers joined the Big Ten. A lot has changed in that time as there has been a change in athletic directors as well as two changes in the head football coach and a changing of the guard in the basketball coach. Tim Pernetti helped usher in the Big Ten membership as Rutgers' athletic director but was not in charge when the official membership began. Perth Amboy man charged with murdering his 80-year-old grandmother
PERTH AMBOY – A city man has been charged with killing his 80-year-old grandmother. Raymond Maldonado was arrested without incident and charged with first-degree murder and fourth-degree contempt for violating a restraining order, the Middlesex County’s Prosecutor’s Office announced. Maldonado was being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending a detention hearing.
