    Elderly man dies after electric scooter crash in Ogden

    OGDEN, Utah ( ABC4 ) — A man, 76, was pronounced dead Friday morning after an electric scooter crash left him with severe head trauma on Thursday, according to Ogden Police.

    The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

    The man was hospitalized with severe head trauma after an electric scooter crash in Ogden Thursday afternoon, according to Ogden Police . He was reportedly riding his personal electric scooter north on the 2200 block of Washington Blvd. when a woman, 33, was driving a silver SUV northbound at the same location.

    The woman merged over to make a right turn onto East 22nd St., but she “failed to see the individual on the scooter,” a press release from Ogden Police states. The merge caused the man to maneuver to avoid the SUV, but the man crashed.

    This incident is currently under investigation.
