March 21: BOCES Career/Recruitment Day at Sackett Technical Center

Students in the Career & Technical Education programs at the Howard G. Sackett Technical Center in Glenfield will be given the opportunity to network with local businesses as part of Career/Recruitment Day on Thursday, March 21.

There will be two windows for students with the first one from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and noon until 2 p.m. The expo will be in conference rooms A and B at the technical center.

The event’s purpose is to showcase the various CTE programs and talented high school students interested in pursuing careers with attending business and industry. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about the local businesses within the north country and jobs that are available close to home and begin the networking process with these businesses to secure job placement following graduation.

Nearly 30 local businesses are signed up to take part and meet with students. Some of the confirmed attending businesses include: Kraft Heinz, Lewis County Health System, Davidson Auto Group, Otis Technology, New York State Police, the state Department of Environmental Conservation, IBEW, Allied Motion, William C. Brown and Son Inc., and more.
