    American Airlines flight makes emergency landing in Syracuse for smoke in the cabin

    SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — An American Airlines flight going from Boston to Rochester made an emergency landing at the Syracuse Hancock International Airport on Wednesday, August 14.

    The flight made an emergency landing around 3:20 p.m. due to smoke in the cabin. It landed without incident in Syracuse and taxied to the gate as it was followed by the airport’s Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting team, airport officials said.

    Passengers then deplaned at the gate.
