    Area drivers win weekend features speedways at Aberdeen, Miller, Madison and Montevideo

    WATERTOWN — Sunday night's scheduled racing program at Casino Speedway was wiped out by the weather for the second week in a row.

    All six regular classes of cars are scheduled to race Sunday during another weekly program scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

    Brown County Speedway

    ABERDEEN — Aberdeen drivers Kent Arment (late models) and Mike Stearns (modifieds) each won their second features of the season at Brown County Speedway on Friday.

    Scott Hansen of Garden City (Midwest modifeds), Maria Broksieck of Goodwin (street stocks) and Brad Kopecky of Miller (super stocks) each won for the first time at BCS this summer.

    Area heat winners included Dawson Zabel of Selby, Midwest modifieds; Chase Gelling of Aberdeen, late models; Garrett Gross of Aberdeen, modifieds; and Nathan Grehl of Hitchcock, super stocks.

    The Kids Night racing program is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday.

    Miller Central Speedway

    MILLER — Five area drivers won feature races during Saturday night's racing program at Miller Central Speedway.

    Feature winners included Josh Skorczewski (late models) and Mike Stearns (modifieds) of Aberdeen, Dawson Zabel of Selby (Midwest modifieds), Maria Broksieck of Goodwin (street stocks)_ and Nathan Grehl of Hitchcock (super stocks).

    Stearns also won a heat race along with Chase Gelling of Aberdeen, late models; Todd Stark of Watertown, Midwest modifiueds; Jodie Michaelsohn of Aberdeen, street stocks; and Stewart Schipke of Aberdeen, super stocks.

    Another racing program is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday.

    Madison Speedway

    MADISON, Minn. — Nate Heinrich of Bellinbgham won the modifieds feature during the Timmy Ims Modified Special on Saturday.

    Joe Arndt of Ortonville (pure stocks) and Adam VanDerostyne of Canby (hornets) won heat races.

    Another racing program is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Saturday.

    Fiesta City Speedway

    MONTEVIDEO, Minn. — Shane Dejong of Boyd (Midwest modifeds) and Charlie Olsen of Hendricks (late models) won het races during the Modified Special on Friday.

    Area drivers who won heat races included Tad Peterson of Dawson (pure stocks), Dejong, Zachary Flickinger of Madison (street stocks) and Josh Long of Canby (street stocks).

    Racing resumes at 7 p.m. on Friday.
