Abilene man accused of Aggravated Sexual Assault

ABILENE, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – An Abilene man accused of sexually assaulting a woman after a night out has been arrested.

Aaron Martinez was booked into the Taylor County Jail for Aggravated Sexual Assault Wednesday in connection to the allegations.

Court documents state Martinez met up with a 19-year-old girl he had met on a dating app at an Abilene bar in May.

This girl told police that “Martinez kept buying her shots and encouraging her to drink until she was intoxicated,” according to the documents.

Next, the documents state the girl says she remembers leaving the bar then eventually traveling to a nearby lake, where she says Martinez made sexual advances toward her then choked her until she lost consciousness when she refused.

When the girl regained consciousness, the documents state she was fully exposed and was showing signs she had been sexually assaulted.

A friend was able to pick her up and take her to authorities, instigating an investigation.

The documents state a medical exam did confirm signs of sexual assault.

Martinez now remains held in the Taylor County Jail on bonds totaling $55,000.
