ABILENE, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – An apparent road rage incident has led to shots fired in a southwest Abilene neighborhood.

The incident happened on the 4200 block of Bob-o-link Drive just after 10:00 a.m.

A man involved in the incident told KTAB and KRBC he had just arrived home in his truck and was attempting to back into his driveway when another driver in a silver SUV passed between him and the driveway, cutting him off.

This man says he went to talk to the SUV driver to tell him that was dangerous, and when he was walking toward his house following that conversation, the man says the SUV driver said something to him.

When he turned around to see what the driver said, this man claims he saw the SUV driver had a gun pointed out the window of his vehicle, so the man who was walking toward his house pulled out his own gun and fired a single shot, hitting the silver SUV.

Police confiscated the man’s gun and the SUV driver fled the scene.

No arrests have been made and no further information is available at this time.
