U.S. men's gymnastics team for 2024 Olympics includes Massachusetts natives
MINNEAPOLIS — Massachusetts will be well represented on the U.S. men's gymnastics team at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Local competitors Fred Richard and Stephen Nedoroscik both solidified their spots on the roster Saturday.Richard is a Stoughton High School graduate while Nedoroscik is a Worcester native. Richard, 20, will headline the five-man U.S. team that will head to Paris next month with a legitimate chance to medal after winning the Olympic trials on Saturday.What Fred Richard said about making the Olympic team"It's like a new mountain in my life," Richard said. Marion resident medals at Massachusetts Special Olympics
MARION — Thomas Grondin spent his first nights away from home for the Massachusetts Special Olympics in Boston in early June. Three swim events later, Grondin had three medals. He was one of more than 1,5000 athletes competing at the Massachusetts Special Olympics summer games between June 7 to June 9, which in addition to swimming had events like tennis, volleyball, powerlifting, and track and field.

BOSTON — It won’t be hard for Boston Bruins fans to watch first-round draft pick Dean Letourneau with him right down the road at Boston College in the fall. Letourneau met two of his future Eagles teammates before his first day at development camp. Oskar Jellvik and Andre Gasseau are both coming out of their sophomore seasons at Boston College. Men's and Women's Hockey Have Total of 20 All-American Scholars
Milton, MA - The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) is once again recognizing varsity ice hockey players who compiled exceptional results in the classroom during the 2023-24 season with the announcement of the eighth annual "Krampade All-American Scholars." To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester, and had to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA. A total of 20 Curry student-athletes were recognized.
