GEORGETOWN TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM, July 24, 2024) – The signs are still out for a danger at a park near Jenison. Earlier this year, residents living near Maplewood Park off of 12th Avenue noticed something unusual growing in the area, but thought that it was just hogweed. Georgetown Township parks officials began monitoring the situation, and around the Independence Day holiday, it was determined that the growth was actually poison hemlock, and warning signs were posted for the park and the adjacent splash pad.

Gas prices approach $4 a gallon in Grand Rapids area
(WXMI) — Motorists experienced sticker shock at the pump recently as gas prices jumped near $4 a gallon in the Grand Rapids area. We spoke with Gas Buddy analyst Patrick DeHaan, who says the jump in price is partly due to a routine price cycle.
