Nine volunteers from the Richmond Lions Club finished up their cleaning of a Korean War-era North American F-86A aircraft earlier this month at the Selfridge Military Air Museum at Selfridge Air National Guard Base. Detroit police seek missing 57-year-old man last seen July 2
DETROIT – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 57-year-old man with a mental illness. According to authorities, Kalvia Davidson was last seen July 2 on East Lafayette Street, just north of Chene Street. Police said he left the home at about 6:30 a.m. and has not since returned.

Port Huron to Mackinac Race comes to an end
Sailboats are crossing the finish line up at Mackinac Island as the 100th Bayview Mackinac Race begins to wind down. The race got off to a slow start, being delayed nearly two hours Saturday due to lack of wind on lower Lake Huron. Wind conditions changed later in the day, giving a boost to some of the larger and faster boats in the race. The first to cross the finish line was Wizard in Class A shortly after 1pm Sunday. The leader for much of the race was Maverick, who also won the Chicago to Mackinac Race, but had to withdraw due to a mast failure. As of Monday morning, much of the fleet was in a line between Mackinac Island and Rogers City. The remaining boats are expected to finish Monday afternoon.

20-year-old Detroit man part of moving crew dies after jumping off boat into Oakland County lake
(CBS DETROIT) - A 20-year-old Detroit man drowned while swimming in an Oakland County lake over the weekend, officials said. The man was part of a crew that was helping a resident move. The victim, identified as Marsalis Quintin Carter, allegedly jumped off the side of a pontoon boat into Taylor Lake in Rose Township Saturday morning and did not resurface. The lake is located off Hickory Ridge Road.Carter, who lists residences in Detroit and Tuskegee, Alabama, was pronounced dead after an over 13-hour search, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
