Two arrested after woman shot and killed in Dallas, police say
DALLAS — Two were arrested after a woman was shot and killed in Dallas early Monday, police say. Police responded to the 2000 block of Lanark Avenue shortly after 1 a.m. Monday and officers found a woman shot, according to a news release. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Motorcycle rider killed in Dallas crash; two people charged
On July 19, 2024 at about 8:45 PM, Dallas Fire Rescue and Police responded to an accident call at Southwell Road and Harry Hines Boulevard. The preliminary investigation determined a motorcycle occupied by two individuals was traveling northbound on Harry Hines Boulevard. A 20-year-old man was driving a truck southbound on Harry Hines Boulevard when he turned left on Southwell Road and crashed into the motorcycle.
Arrest made after 1 person was shot, killed in Dallas, police say
DALLAS — Dallas Police arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting Sunday, according to a press release. Officers responded to a shooting call at 9 p.m. Sunday in the 9800 block of Bruton Road, police said. When officers arrived, they found 44-year-old Keeman Bowens shot, the release states. He died at the scene.
Four Dallas firefighters injured after fire truck crashes off highway onto DART tracks
DALLAS, Texas — Four Dallas firefighters were injured after a fire truck drove off Interstate 345 onto DART tracks below the roadway, officials said. The incident occurred just after 6 a.m. Sunday on Interstate 345 and South Good Latimer Expressway. The four firefighters were transported to Baylor University Medical Center and are in stable condition, officials said.

DALLAS, Texas — A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run early on July 4, 2024, on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to Dallas police. The preliminary investigation determined that 35-year-old Lydie Zebaze Metsindon was walking on the Cedar Crest bridge when an unknown vehicle traveling northbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard struck her.
