The Plainfield American Legion Marne Post #13 will be holding a Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony on Monday, May 27 to honor all of the American soldiers that have died while defending this country.

The parade will begin at Ira Jones Middle School at 10:45 AM CST. The school is located at 15320 S. Wallin Drive. The parade will then go east on Ottawa Street to the entrance of Settler's Park near the intersection of Ottawa Street and Van Dyke Road.

The parade will take around 15 minutes with the memorial beginning at the park at 11 AM. The memorial will include a wreath laying ceremony, a rifle salute, and band performances. The ceremony usually lasts about thirty minutes.
