2024 is only halfway done, but we’ve already seen many Black creatives go viral thanks to their savvy social media skills. In the winter, TikToker Reesa Teesa had the world on the edge of its seat as she told the story of her tumultuous marriage, ultimately inking her a deal with CAA for future content creation opportunities. Elsewhere, Kai Cenat and fellow members of the AMP collective have been dancing on stage with Nicki Minaj and teasing Jordan sponsorships online. The 22-year-old is the most-followed among the YouTube group, but right behind him is his good friend, Duke Dennis – best known for his gaming videos and entertaining storytimes across numerous channels.

Several years older than his frequent collaborator, Dennis was born on February 26th, 1994 in Greenville, South Carolina. One of the former athlete’s brothers, Darius, often appears in Duke’s videos, which millions of people watch across his different accounts. Though he was a talented football player, the 30-year-old and his friend shot down scholarship opportunities to play ball in college in favor of joining the military to get out of their struggling neighborhood.

Dennis expressed a desire to walk away from service as early as his basic training, but his mom encouraged her son to persevere. After completing his four years, the Black entertainer happily returned home to focus his energy elsewhere, which has proven successful in more ways than one. Keep reading to uncover all that we know about Duke Dennis’ net worth, YouTube success and military career.

Duke Dennis’ net worth is between $2 to $3 million, according to Sportskeeda and Vocal . The former notes that the famous gamer generates between $4.4 – $71.1K annually just from ad revenue and brand deals on YouTube and other sites. On Design By Humans , Dennis sells merchandise to his fans, charging $25 for tank tops and tees with “Real Talk” written on them, or $48 for similar hoodies.

It’s unclear how much revenue this brings in, but it was enough for the content creator to spoil himself with a Lamb Truck on his 30th birthday earlier this year. 2017 is when he splurged on his first dream vehicle – a Jeep Wrangler – which Dennis says he slept in for three days out of sheer excitement. A few years later, the internet icon bought another Wrangler with a scat-pack engine while gifting its predecessor to his brother, and has since added an SRT Jeep to his collection too.

When he’s not impressing us with his NBA2K or Call of Duty skills, Dennis connects with his audience by telling stories about his life, including the time he spent in the military . He’s admitted that taking orders wasn’t easy for him, not to mention the rules about uniforms and haircuts. After basic training, he was stationed in Germany, where the Southern star spent his days doing administrative paperwork; during this time he considered doing something illegal to be discharged early, but took the high road instead and finally completed his contract around 2017.

Dennis created a YouTube channel in 2013, but he didn’t post regular content until returning home from the army. “Angry Trash Talker” was among his first uploads to blow up online, motivating the 30-year-old to keep posting gaming content. In 2020, he diversified his social portfolio with a new channel, DeeBlock Duke, also linking up with other rising Black creatives like Cenat, JustFanum and Agent00; the next year, his DukeDennis Live page was added to the mix.

While he seems to be riding solo these days, the creative used to date “Toxic Chocolate” hitmaker Kaliii. He’s also made a name for himself by parodying NBA player Carmelo Anthony on camera. Rather than sharing content consistently, Dennis seems to use the surprise factor to his advantage. Dropping videos randomly keeps subscribers on their toes, always looking out for more.
