Starting the Work Week Unsettled
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - It was a rinse and repeat day in the Valley today with scattered showers and storms. This evening a chance of showers and storms lingers before giving way to mostly cloudy skies overnight. Out the door on Monday morning expect temperatures in the low-70s with some areas of patchy fog possible, so use some extra caution on the roads. By the afternoon thanks to partly to mostly cloudy skies and a chance of showers and storms, temperatures look to reach the mid- to upper-80s once again. Remember some storms may produce heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning. We will be squeezed between weather patterns which will help to keep the unsettled weather across the Valley. Rain coverage sits between 40-60% Monday through Thursday, with temperatures in the upper-80s to low-90s. Looking ahead to next weekend, some drier conditions are set to make a return to the Valley along with some near seasonable temperatures; rain coverage sits between 20-30% with temperatures in the low-90s. We will continue to watch next weekend’s rain coverage, as these are some of the final weekends before the new school year starts.
