The blond maniac accused of stabbing six people and suspected of killing another is a “weirdo” obsessed with working out and his looks, neighbors told The Post.
Jared Ravizza, 26 — who allegedly stabbed four girls watching the movie “IF” at the theater and another two people at a McDonald’s over the weekend — adopted his signature toned, tanned and blond flowing locks during COVID, three of his former Agawam, Mass., neighbors told The Post Monday.
“Jared’s a weirdo,” one neighbor said, adding that Jared and his father, psychologist Jason Ravizza, are “different, that’s for sure.”
Jason is a mental health counselor with 35 years’ experience who works with children, teens and adults for a range of issues including ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-worth, low self-esteem and autism, according to an online profile .
The father-son duo “were very close” and “huge into fitness” and would go on long walks and sunbathe together, the man said.
They both grew their hair out and dyed it blond and “eventually you couldn’t tell father and son apart from a distance,” the neighbor recalled.
The man recalled the two Ravizzas about two years ago abruptly “up and left” Jared’s mom, Kim. The man said he hadn’t seen either of them since Jason mysteriously showed up at the house again about a week ago, the man said.
The neighbor said the son “was standoffish” and “never friendly” and would just look at him if he said hello.
A second neighbor told The Post the dad was a school counselor who would pump dumbbells while walking around the neighborhood wearing a weighted vest, adding that “Jared and Jason got very bizarre.”
“A drastic change took place during COVID,” the second neighbor said. “I don’t know what happened inside the house.”
The Ravizza son and father suddenly started to look “like they should be living in California or Hawaii — not Massachusetts.”
And a third neighbor said he also hadn’t seen the pair — whom he described as “close” — for roughly two years until Jason’s recent reappearance.
“Jared was always tanning,” the third man said. “He looked like a Californian surfer. He was a bit orange. He was obviously using something to tan himself.”
And the dad would “talk up” Jared to the third neighbor, “saying he’s a YouTuber and was dating a model,” the man said.
Court papers also reveal he officially changed his name, removing his father’s surname.
The son had also been arrested in April by West Tilsbury police on Martha’s Vineyard, Mass. — where he was then living — for allegedly attacking his dad and trashing his home, the Boston Globe reported, citing court records .
Jared was forced to undergo a mental health evaluation but was eventually released from the local hospital, the outlet reported.
At the time of the alleged attack, Jason told cops his son “had just had a mental break and attacked him,” the report said. The case was sent to pretrial diversion and a session is scheduled for Jared in November.
Jared is facing charges of assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, among others, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office.
The Connecticut State Police have also said he’s a suspect in a murder investigation at a home in Deep River after cops found a body there Saturday afternoon.
Cops issued an alert warning the suspect was “armed and dangerous” and was carrying a 10-inch knife, but then later confirmed that a suspect had been arrested in the Bay State.
The Saturday attacks — which were said to be unprovoked — began at the Braintree AMC theatre, when Jared attacked the four girls, ranging in age from 9 to 17, authorities say.
After, Jared fled in a Porsche SUV, driving 30 miles to Plymouth, Mass., where he slashed two employees at a McDonald’s at a rest stop on Route 3, officials allege.
The victims were all treated for their injuries at local hospitals, but none of their injuries were deemed life-threatening.
Jared took off again and totaled the car in a fiery crash in Sandwich, Mass., while being chased by state police who had been put on alert for his vehicle. He was taken into custody and is also being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, authorities say.
Jared is slated to be arraigned in Plymouth District Court on Tuesday.
