Man with Agawam residence held without bail for stabbing two employees

PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WWLP) – A man who is accused of a deadly stabbing in Connecticut and also stabbing six people in Massachusetts on the same day will be held without the right to bail.

According to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, 26-year-old Jared Ravizza , who has home addresses in Chilmark, West Tisbury and Agawam, was back in court for a dangerousness hearing on Monday after he was arraigned more than a month ago and ordered to take a mental health evaluation. During Monday’s hearing, Ravizza was found to be dangerous and will be held without bail. He is due back in court on August 6.

The dangerousness hearing was connected to the alleged stabbing of two McDonalds’ employees where he was charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon – knife, armed assault to murder and indecent exposure. However, Ravizza is also connected to several stabbing incidents on Saturday, May 25.

Stabbing Spree Timeline on May 25:

Connecticut State Police were called to a home on Merriwold Lane in Deep River, Connecticut around 3:36 p.m. where they found a man dead with visible wounds outside of the home. The victim was identified as 70-year-old Bruce Feldman of West Hartford. It is alleged that Ravizza was at the home earlier and some of his belongings were still inside the home.

A Be On The Lookout (BOLO) was issued for Ravizza in Massachusetts due to him having a residence on Lakeview Circle in Agawam as well as in other Massachusetts towns.

Around 6:00 p.m. that evening, Ravizza then entered a movie theater in Braintree and allegedly stabbed four girls , all between the ages of 9 and 17 years old, and left. All four girls were taken to the hospital but have recovered.

Then around 6:52 p.m., police received a call for the stabbing of two employees at a McDonalds at the Route 3 rest area in Plymouth. Ravizza was seen on surveillance cameras going through the drive-thru and was upset that his order was incorrect. The employee at the window confirmed his order was right and when he went to hand over the order, Ravizza allegedly grabbed him and stabbed him with a long kitchen knife.

Ravizza then entered the restaurant and allegedly stabbed another employee, who was on her first day of work at the restaurant, in the shoulder. Around 7:15 p.m., Ravizza then led police on a chase in Sandwich that ended when he crashed on Cotuit Road.

Ravizza was charged for both stabbing incidents in Massachusetts and just recently Connecticut State Police issued an arrest warrant in connection to the deadly stabbing.
