Florida is about to get a bit toastier with the arrival of three new Potbelly Sandwich Shop locations in the Tampa Bay area. This expansion is part of a broader plan to add 50 Potbelly stores across the state, bringing the chain's popular toasted sandwiches and unique flavors to even more locals.

Potbelly’s journey began over four decades ago in Chicago, where it started as an antique store specializing in potbelly stoves. It wasn't long before the store's popularity led to a pivot towards serving sandwiches. The success was immediate, with lines forming out the door for their hearty sandwiches and signature giardiniera sauce. Today, Potbelly is renowned for its toasty sandwiches, hand-dipped milkshakes, and a variety of salads, not to mention its intriguing secret menu.

In Tampa, Potbelly has earned a solid 4.2 out of 5 stars on Yelp. Many patrons appreciate the flavorful sandwiches and the welcoming service.

New Locations to Look Forward To

The expansion includes three new Potbelly stores in the Tampa Bay area:

    1. St. Petersburg - The first location is set to open at 5004 Fourth St. North on August 14, 2024.
    2. New Tampa - The second store will be located at 18027 Highwoods Preserve Parkway.
    3. Largo - The third new Potbelly will open at 13100 Seminole Boulevard.

With these new openings, Potbelly continues to spread its delicious and toasty offerings across Florida, promising more opportunities for locals to enjoy their favorite sandwiches and shakes. Keep an eye out for these new spots and get ready to indulge in some comforting and tasty eats!
