Florida Mansion Sells for $18.5 Million to a Member of a Billionaire Family

In the latest splashy real estate move, Leandro Rizzuto Jr., a member of the billionaire family behind Conair, has just picked up a stunning mansion in Boca Raton’s prestigious Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club for a cool $18.5 million. The luxurious home, located at 169 W. Key Palm Road, is a true gem, offering nearly 9,000 square feet of opulent living space.

The sellers, Donald R. Jenkins and Kelley Jenkins from Aspen, Colorado, must be smiling after this sale. They were represented by Senada Adžem and Dustin Nero of Douglas Elliman, while Rizzuto worked with Joyce Schneider from Castles by the Beach Realty. The deal, which broke down to $2,061 per square foot, highlights the growing demand for high-end properties in Boca Raton as more affluent buyers flock to the area.

This mansion isn’t just any home—it’s a masterpiece. Built in 2021 and situated on a 0.35-acre lot along a canal leading to the Intracoastal Waterway, it offers six bedrooms, six bathrooms, two half-baths, an office, a summer kitchen, a bar/lounge, a pool, and even a dock. With these features, it’s easy to see why the property’s value jumped since it last sold for $14.975 million the year it was built.

But the story doesn’t end there. On the same day he bought the new property, Rizzuto sold another home in the same neighborhood—2391 Areca Palm Road—for $10 million to Nicola Verses. Despite these moves, Rizzuto isn’t leaving the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club anytime soon. He still holds onto his mansion at 1900 Royal Palm Way, which he designates as his homestead address. He snagged that home for $14 million back in 2019.

For those unfamiliar with the Rizzuto name, Leandro Rizzuto Jr. is one of four children of the late Leandro Rizzuto Sr., the founder of the iconic hair care brand Conair, which later expanded to include Cuisinart and Waring. Rizzuto Sr. passed away in 2017, leaving behind a legacy that’s clearly reflected in the family’s continued presence in luxury markets.

Rizzuto Jr. has had his share of time in the spotlight beyond the business world. In 2018, then-President Donald Trump nominated him as ambassador to Barbados, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Saint Lucia. However, after a contentious Senate hearing, he wasn’t confirmed. Trump then appointed him as the principal officer of the U.S. Consulate General in Hamilton, Bermuda.

This latest mansion purchase is just another in a series of big-money real estate deals happening in the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club, cementing the area’s reputation as a hotspot for the ultra-wealthy.
