Tallmadge Police Department said suspect who fled on foot is now in custody

The Tallmadge Police Department said a suspect who fled on foot near North Thomas Road and Northwest Avenue is in custody, according to a Facebook post.

The department warned residents on Facebook to stay inside while the suspect was fleeing around 3 p.m.

Tallmadge officers worked with other agencies to locate the suspect after he fled on foot. The suspect is a 44-year-old white male 5'11 and144 lbs. He was wanted for several felony warrants.

Police warned residents to stay home, lock doors and avoid the area.
