An Akron man was sentenced to 7½ years in prison Tuesday after pleading guilty to having and intending to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Dion Dejournett, 29, also pleaded guilty in the Northern District of Ohio federal court to possession of firearms to further drug trafficking.

Judge Bridget Meehan Brennan also sentenced Dejournett to five years of parole upon release. He also must give up all drug-related assets, including four pistols, a semi-automatic rifle and over $6,000.
