    Summit County Prosecutor's Office to host Responding to the Needs of Victims conference

    A training event for community members and professionals will teach participants how to respond to domestic violence and strangulation incidents.

    The daylong training event that will teach participants how to best respond to domestic violence and strangulation incidents will be held during the 9th Annual Responding to the Needs of Victims conference.

    Hosted by the Summit County Prosecutor's Office, the event is for anyone who interacts with crime victims including law enforcement, victim advocates, social workers, therapists, medical personnel and attorneys.

    The event is from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13 at Hilton Akron/Fairlawn at 3180 W. Market St. Registration is $45. To register visit the county prosecutor's website .
